I like software that makes sense to the people using it.
My background sits between hands-on development and IT leadership. I still enjoy working through the details—data models, APIs, deployment issues, UI behavior—but I also spend a lot of time thinking about how a system fits into the larger operation.
Most of the systems I work on are not built for show. They are used by real teams with deadlines, approval flows, reports, security requirements, legacy data, and edge cases. That is the kind of engineering work I enjoy.
